On December 2, farmers affiliated with Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) along with other key groups like Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) will begin a march towards Delhi as part of the farmers protest Delhi. Led by BKP leader Sukhbir Khalifa, the protest seeks to demand compensation and benefits under the newly implemented agricultural laws. The protest will commence from under the Maha Maya Flyover in Noida at noon.

Sukhbir Khalifa said, “We are set to begin our march to Delhi on December 2. The procession will start from under the Maha Maya Flyover in Noida at noon, where we will gather to demand compensation and benefits in line with the new agricultural laws.”

Noida authorities have issued a traffic advisory to help commuters.

Several alternate routes have been recommended to avoid congestion during the protest.

Traffic Restrictions for Heavy Vehicles

To prevent major traffic jams and ease movement for regular commuters, heavy vehicles will be restricted from entering Delhi via the following routes:

  • Yamuna Expressway
  • Noida-Greater Noida Expressway
  • Surajpur routes

These restrictions are aimed at improving traffic flow and limiting congestion on key roads.

Alternate Routes for Affected Commuters

Commuters who typically use the above routes are advised to follow these alternate paths to avoid the protest-related congestion:

From Chilla Border to Greater Noida: Travelers can use the Sector 14-A flyover, then proceed through Golchakkar in Sector-15, followed by Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Jhunjhupura Chowk.

DND Border to Delhi: The Film City flyover can be taken, then proceed towards Sector-18 and continue via the Elevated Road.

From Kalindi Border to Delhi: The Mahamaya flyover is an alternative route, continuing through Sector-37 for a smooth passage.

Charkha Golchakkar and Kalindi Kunj offer the most efficient paths from Greater Noida to Delhi.

For Traffic on the Yamuna Expressway: Exiting at the Jewar toll and traveling towards Khurja via Jahangirpur will help avoid the protest route.

For Peripheral Expressway Traffic: Drivers should avoid the Sirska exit and take the Dadri or Dasna exit to reach their destination.

Advices for Commuters During the Protest

Consider Taking the Metro: To avoid delays, authorities recommend using the Delhi Metro as a convenient alternative to road travel during the protest.

Stay Informed: Keep an eye on traffic updates in real-time to ensure you are aware of any changes or disruptions along your route.

Emergency Vehicles: Priority will be given to emergency vehicles, ensuring they can navigate through the affected areas. If you encounter any issues, contact the traffic helpline at 9971009001.

Enhanced Security Measures for Protestors and Commuters

In light of the upcoming march, the Delhi Police and Gautam Buddh Nagar Police have set up barricades at various borders to implement strict security checks. Comprehensive traffic diversions and restrictions are in place to guarantee both the safety of the protestors and the smooth movement of traffic.

For commuters, planning their routes carefully and keeping updated with the latest traffic advisories is essential. While the protest may cause some disruption, following the recommended precautions and alternative routes will help minimize the inconvenience.
