Tragedy struck on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, a bus accident in Lucknow. A devastating collision between a double-decker sleeper bus and a milk container claimed eighteen lives and injured over 30 individuals. Yogi Adityanath, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, sent his deep emotions to the relatives of the departed and right away ordered the government of the district to make sure the injured received urgent medical treatment. He hoped for them to heal quickly as well.

On the day of the incident, CM Adityanath remarked on the bus accident in Lucknow, “The loss of lives in the Unnao district road accident is deeply saddening. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. District officials have received instructions to immediately respond and accelerate relief efforts. My thoughts are with those who lost their lives, wishing them peace, and with those injured, wishing them a quick recovery.

After preliminary investigations, Unnao District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi confirmed the tragic toll, stating, “At approximately 5:15 AM today. A private bus traveling from Motihari, Bihar collided with a milk tanker. Eighteen people lost their lives, while 19 others sustained injuries in this unfortunate accident.”

CM Adityanath asked officials to start relief work as quickly as allowed. The double-decker bus, en route from Motihari, Bihar to Delhi.
