Not only that, but the caption shared by the production house also stirred emotions. It stated, in part, “Where legends are born and the roar of the wild echoes.” The post continued by wishing Rishab a very happy birthday and honoring his strong presence in the film. They confirmed the worldwide theatrical release date as October 2, 2025, and described the movie as “a prequel to the masterpiece that moved millions.”
Shooting Wrapped Up for the Prequel
The Kantara Chapter 1 creators not only unveiled the poster but also said that the filming was completely complete. While the original film was a massive success in 2022, the prequel aims to push boundaries even further. According to sources, the upcoming film includes a grand war sequence crafted on an epic scale. In fact, around 500 trained fighters and over 3,000 individuals were involved in this scene.
Interestingly, the entire sequence was filmed on a sprawling 25-acre set and took 45 to 50 days to complete. This level of planning and execution clearly shows the ambition of the makers to surpass the previous benchmark.
Boat Incident on Sets Sparks Confusion
At the same time, the movie garnered media attention for another reason. There were rumors of a boat accident on the Kantara Chapter 1 sets a few days ago. These early reports state that Rishab Shetty and other crew members barely survived a boat capsize at Karnataka’s Mani Reservoir.
However, these reports were quickly put to rest. The executive producer of the film came forward to clarify the situation. He explained that although a boat had indeed tipped over, no one was actually on it at the time. Due to sudden strong winds and rainfall, the set piece used as a ship had overturned. Fortunately, no one was nearby, and hence, no accidents or injuries occurred.
